Traditional Savings Accounts
Grow your cash while retaining easy access to it.
A Tech CU low-minimum Savings Account is perfect for funds you want to keep within easy reach while still getting interest dividends.
Open a Membership Savings Account with a minimum balance of $25 to become a member of Tech CU. The $25 is your "share" in Tech CU — you’re now a member and a shareholder! You can continue to use this account as a regular savings account, but the $25 membership balance will not be available for transactions and must remain in the account for membership.
Our Non-Membership Savings Account can be opened by any existing member who wishes to have a stand-alone Tech CU Savings Account to earn interest dividends with a low minimum balance.
Tech CU Savings Accounts offer benefits including availability for checking overdraft protection, access to over 85,000 ATMs in the US, and no monthly fees.
Student Savings Accounts
Tech CU offers a Student Savings Account as well. It’s never too early to develop good savings habits and to start earning interest dividends! Parents and guardians can co-sign for students under 18 years of age by making an appointment or calling (800) 553- 0880.
Money Market Plus Account
Earn higher interest dividends without tying up your cash.
If you’d like to earn interest on a larger sum of money while keeping it liquid, our flexible Money Market Plus Account is a great option. With a balance of $2,500 or more you’ll get some of the best Money Market Plus rates around.
For Money Market Plus account balances of $50,000 and up, you’ll receive a rate boost of 0.10% when you open a Tech CU Checking Account and sign up for direct deposit.**

Health Savings Account
Use pre-tax dollars to pay for medical expenses.
A Health Savings Account (HSA) is designed to help you save pre-tax dollars for qualified medical expenses if you have an HSA-eligible health insurance policy. The tax advantage helps offset rising health care costs.*** Tech CU offers both Single and Family HSA accounts with debit card access.
Save money for current and future out-of-pocket medical expenses like doctor visits, dental care, vision care, and prescriptions. Since there is no time limit on your HSA funds, any unused balance carries over from one year to the next. These funds never expire.
With free Bill Pay for HSAs, it is easy to manage your HSA and medical bills online:
- Make one-time payments for bills with fluctuating payment amounts
- Transfer funds between your HSA and other Tech CU Accounts
- View your payment history online or download it onto a spreadsheet
Like our other savings accounts, the Tech CU HSA Account has no monthly fee. We also do not charge an account adjustment fee. Your initial HSA Visa® Debit Card is free ($5 per card if replacement cards exceed two in a 12-month period) and personalized checks are available upon request (standard printing charges apply).
